XnaPosingStudio (XPS) is a "XNA Model Viewer" and 3D posing software based on (and compatible to) XNALara, for any 3D character. With a rather rudimentary way to make a keyframe animation. Free of charge.
There a few thousand different posable character for XNALara/XPS ... free available.

Hey dear watchers,

Here's a new XPS/ XNALara version. This time it has Temple of Osiris Lara models added with their original bone weights.
They are meant to be in original state, which is why some things like face posing may not be possible (as the ingame version doesn't have facial bones).

What's new?

1. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris models have been added as non- generic item models, just like models from previous Tomb Raider games, with exception of the Reboot.

If you do not want these you don't have to download them. They are available seperately.

2. New Render Groups 40/41. They need Diffuse, Normal/Bump and Specular maps in this order.

Heyyy, I've got a question!

In the other versions of this, I was able to export the scene as an .obj file, to render it in Blender, but the option is no longer there in this version, and isn't in 11.2 either. Is it meant to be this way/was that option removed? Is there a script to download to enable it...? I just wanna get back to renders, and certain new models will only work in 11 and up. :/

You WILL NEED Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and Microsoft XNA Framework 3.0 to run it.

Take a look into the file called !ReadMe.txt

You needs also two Microsoft Frameworks:

for Windows 8:
.NET Framework 4.5 is included with Windows 8 and installed on your computer with the operating system.
However, the .NET Framework 3.5 is not automatically installed with Windows 8!
you must enable .NET version 3.5 on your Computer:

I cannot get this running on Windows 10. .NET Framework is enabled (3.5), but I get a "XPS has stopped working" error message every time I try to open the XNA app. Help?

It is called a "XNA app", because you will Need the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 AND the Microsoft XNA Framework 3.0 www.microsoft.com/en-us/downlo…to run it.

Have you intalled .Net and XNA frameworks? What error message do you get when you try running the XPS?

Just that XPS stopped working when I try to open XNA. I've installed .net frameworks, is there anything I need to do to install xna frameworks? I followed the instructions to the letter and don't recall seeing anything about that.

i love ur program, its very easy and fun, can i suggest some features for future versions :
like collapse all bone stacks function (useful when theres a lot of bones) alternatively u could make that xnalara would remember the bone stacks u collapsed when switching between models,

also would be nice if cloned models would retain bone scale modifications cause it resets to 100 right now,

would love to see lower height limit on the sliding bar lowered(now is -2), i know u can change it in the Pos box but it resets after scene is reloaded and its not really comfortable to use pos box,

if possible would be nice if the items u made optional would also be saved so u would not have to hide them again every time u load scene.

Once again these are just suggestions, thanks for reading.

I am using version 11 and F-Secure found adware in the xnalara_xps.zip.exe in an obscure programdata folder. When I check what F-Secure did I find it quarantined a bidaily synchronize task job. And that worries me. Also changes to Explorer|Advanced|Hidden and ShowSuperHidden were reversed too.

You're downloading the wrong file, the hosting site is flipping over some crap to you, since it's a free hosting site. Refresh the download page until the download link will lead you to just .zip, not the .zip.exe file.
